Jute rugs

Cleaning

Vacuum frequently to prevent dirt from penetrating the fibers. Clean any stains as quickly as possible; do not let them dry. If liquid spills on the rug, blot it with absorbent paper. Repeat this process until the paper comes out completely dry. Do not rub (avoid spreading the stain). Do not use excess water or cleaners, as these may leave marks and damage the rug. As this is a hand-woven rug, there may be small imperfections and loose fibers. Do not pull; trim with scissors. Periodic professional cleaning is recommended. Our rugs are handcrafted; if a thread comes loose, reinsert it into the weave with a needle.

Light and discoloration

Jute fibers, like any other natural material, are especially sensitive to color changes due to UV rays. Prolonged exposure of rugs to sunlight can cause discoloration. In areas exposed to direct sunlight, we recommend using curtains, blinds, or glass with solar filters to prevent discoloration and premature aging of the rug. To prevent partial or total discoloration of the rug's surface, it is very important to rotate, flip, and reposition it every two months. This is especially true when furniture or other items are placed on the rug, which could leave marks or signs of minor discoloration.

Kilim Dhurrie and neutral and semi-plain rugs

Cleaning

Vacuum frequently to prevent dirt from penetrating the fibers. Clean any stains as quickly as possible; do not let them dry. If liquid spills on the rug, blot it with absorbent paper. Repeat this process until the paper comes out completely dry. Once the excess stain has been removed, rub with a damp cloth diluted with mild soap. Periodic professional cleaning is recommended. To prevent holes and damage, use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture. Our rugs are handmade; if a thread comes loose, reinsert it into the weave with a needle.

Light and discoloration

Wool, like any other natural material, is especially sensitive to color changes caused by UV rays. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading. In areas exposed to direct sunlight, we recommend using curtains, blinds, or glass with solar filters to prevent fading and premature aging of the rug.

Light and discoloration

Our PET mats can get wet, but be sure to ensure they dry completely afterward. Prolonged exposure to water can create an environment conducive to mold and mildew growth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to protect the mat from fading. The use of blinds is recommended to protect the mat.

Viscose rugs

Cleaning

Viscose is a synthetic fiber made from natural fibers such as cotton and wood. It is soft and silky, with a slight sheen and very pleasant to the touch. However, it is also a delicate fiber. Cleaning and maintaining this type of rug is complicated, so we do not recommend them for high-traffic areas or dining rooms. We recommend vacuuming regularly (without the brush attachment) to prevent dirt from penetrating the fibers. If a stain occurs, press it with absorbent paper. Repeat this process until the paper comes out completely dry. Do not rub; avoid spreading the stain or bleeding the colors. Do not use excessive water or cleaners, as these could damage the rug. Periodic professional cleaning is recommended. To avoid holes and damage, use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture. Lint

When a rug is new, it's inevitable that some lint will appear on the surface with use. This is normal; there is always a small amount of fibers that aren't properly incorporated during spinning. At first, it's best to vacuum the rug frequently, and after a while, the lint formation will diminish and stop.

Wool Rugs

Cleaning

Vacuum frequently to prevent dirt from penetrating the fibers. Clean any stains as quickly as possible; do not let them dry. If liquid spills on the surface, blot it with absorbent paper. Repeat this process until the paper comes out completely dry. Once the excess stain has been removed, rub with a damp cloth diluted with neutral soap. Periodic professional cleaning is recommended: Injection-Extraction. To avoid holes and damage, use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture.

Lint

Our rugs are handmade and may shed small fibers over time, forming lint. This is perfectly normal and is due to some fibers being loosened when the yarn was cut. This will disappear after repeated vacuuming. Do not remove these fibers manually. This could damage the rug.
